JOB SUMMARY

An Education Counselor, also known as an Academic or guidance counselor, helps students with their academic, personal, and career goals. Effective counselors familiarise themselves with the personal and professional aspirations of the young people who seek their help so that they may offer tailored assistance.

Responsibilities:
- Provide academic counseling and support to students, both individually and in group settings.

-Cold Calling and converting them to admissions.
- Assist students in developing educational and career goals.
- Conduct intake interviews to assess students' needs and goals.
- Analyze student transcripts and academic records to determine appropriate course selection.
- Educate students on academic policies, procedures, and resources available to them.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to support student success.
- Utilize Ellucian or similar student information systems to track student progress and maintain accurate records.
- Conduct workshops and presentations on various academic topics.
- Assist with recruiting efforts by representing the institution at college fairs and other events.

Experience:
- Previous experience working with students in an academic setting is required.
- Strong public speaking skills for conducting presentations and workshops.
- Ability to provide individual and group counseling to address academic challenges.
- Familiarity with academic advising principles and practices.
- Experience in interviewing students to assess their needs and goals.
- Ability to analyze student data and provide appropriate recommendations for course selection.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?12,000.00 - ?25,000.00 per month
