We are hiring Education Counsellor who plays a pivotal role in guiding students and parents through academic and career-related decisions. They provide information, advice, and support to help individuals choose educational paths that align with their interests, abilities, and goals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Counselling and Guidance:
• Assess students' academic, career interests, and personal goals.
• Provide advice on suitable educational programs, courses, and institutions.
• Help students understand admission requirements, scholarship opportunities, and financial aid options.
• Information and Research:
• Stay updated on the latest trends in education, including new programs, institutions, and career opportunities.
• Provide information about international education systems, visa processes, and cultural considerations (if applicable).
• Career Planning:
• Assist students in identifying career interests and skills through assessments and discussions.
• Recommend courses or extracurricular activities to develop skills aligned with career aspirations.
• Administrative Support:
• Help students prepare applications, write personal statements, and compile necessary documentation.
• Track application deadlines and assist with the submission process.
• Follow up with institutions and students on application status.
• Workshops and Seminars:
• Conduct workshops on career planning, study skills, and admission procedures.
• Organize information sessions on scholarships, education fairs, and industry insights.
• Personalized Support:
• Address personal or emotional challenges that might impact academic or career decisions.
• Provide referrals to other professionals, such as psychologists or tutors, when necessary.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, counselling, or a related field. A master's degree or specialized training in counselling is a plus.
• Experience: Prior experience in academic counselling, teaching, or human resources is beneficial.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication to interact with students, parents, and institutions.
• Interpersonal Skills: Empathy, active listening, and the ability to build trust.
• Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple students, applications, and deadlines simultaneously.
• Cultural Sensitivity: Awareness of diverse cultural backgrounds and international education systems (if working with international students).
