Your Role and Responsibilities The Education Communications and Marketing Professional is a member of the Global Marketing and Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility discipline responsible for protecting and enhancing IBM\xe2\x80\x99s brand across the world. This individual plays a key role in advancing initiatives that complement both product and corporate reputation agendas by amplifying the company\'s progress and innovation on education and skills. They engage audiences across private and public sectors, business partners, influencers, alumni and the public at large. They develop communications narratives, marketing plans and strategies, with a strong focus on storytelling, that promote IBM\xe2\x80\x99s leadership on education and skills. This professional will use a variety of analytics, influencer and social listening tools to target stories and content to reach the right audiences in the right ways. Responsibilities
Develop relationships with key members of the media.
Create and maintain a pipeline of compelling story ideas; translating technical and business innovations into clear, compelling narratives.
Prepare and media train spokespeople.
Able to build cross-disciplinary networks to contribute detailed content and expertise as needed for effective communications.
Establish deep understanding of IBM\xe2\x80\x99s strategies and priorities on education and skills.
Implement and contribute to communications strategies for the company in the education arena.
Execute marketing strategies that create meaningful relationships with our audiences
Collaborate with the larger marketing and communications team to drive cross-business campaigns and programs
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
7+ years of proven experience developing and delivering media relations and/or marketing programs in a corporate or agency setting
Superb writing style
English fluency
Proven experience in communications and marketing for a multinational company and media relations expertise in the area
Thorough understanding of the latest communications and marketing trends, social media platforms, and rich storytelling techniques
Growth mindset, with creative problem-solving skills and a positive attitude
Strong organizational and time management skills
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Expertise on developing global and multi-country strategies
Experience driving media engagement via social media platforms a plus.
Agency experience
Prior experience with education programs
Previous experience with executive stakeholder management, driving business objectives
