The Education Counselor will provide guidance and support to students regarding their educational and career planning. This role involves assessing student needs, providing information on educational options, and developing personalized plans to help students reach their academic and professional objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Student Counseling: Conduct one-on-one and group counseling sessions to understand students' educational needs, interests, and goals.
• Assessment and Planning: Assess students' academic performance, strengths, and areas for improvement to develop personalized educational plans.
• Information Provision: Provide accurate and up-to-date information on educational programs, career opportunities, and application processes.
• Support Services: Assist students with college applications, scholarship opportunities, and financial aid processes.
• Workshops and Seminars: Organize and conduct workshops or seminars on topics such as career planning, study skills, and exam preparation.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student success.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential records of counseling sessions and student progress.
• Follow-Up: Monitor and follow up on student progress to ensure that educational plans are being effectively implemented and adjusted as needed.
• Professional Development: Stay updated on educational trends, policies, and best practices to provide informed guidance.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., Certified School Counselor) is preferred.
• Experience: [X] years of experience in a counseling role, preferably within an educational setting.
