Position: Export EDI Filing Executive
Job Summary:
We are looking for an Export EDI Filing Assistant to join our team at CAG Shipping Pvt Ltd, a leading freight forwarding company. In this role, you will assist in the electronic filing of import and export documentation through electronic filing systems, ensuring compliance with customs regulations. The ideal candidate will possess basic skills in excel, MS office, excellent attention to detail, and a willingness to learn about the export and import process. Key Responsibilities:
Preparation and submission of various imports and exports documents (i.e) VGM, TR, Import/Export Declarations, and other supporting documents, using the ICEGATE portal and other relevant customs systems.
Ensure accurate entry and transmission of trade-related data via Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), ensuring compliance with Indian Customs regulations and deadlines.
Review, verify, and organize required import/export documents (e.g., Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Certificates of Origin) to ensure timely and accurate filings.
Ensure accurate and timely exchange of documents with trading partners
Maintain detailed records of all filing activities, ensuring documentation is accurate and up-to-date. Support the team in audit preparations and compliance checks.
Monitor the status of customs clearances and shipments through ICEGATE and other systems, ensuring that shipments are processed efficiently and in a timely manner.
Work closely with Clients, Operations team and logistics teams to ensure smooth processing of import/export shipments. Communicate with clients regarding any delays, required actions, or status updates.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in any field, or a related field is preferred.
Freshers are welcome to apply, provided they are eager to learn and grow in the field of customs brokerage, freight forwarding and international trade.
Experience in import/export operations, logistics, or freight forwarding will be a plus.
Skills required:
Typing Skills: Strong and accurate typing skills (40-50 words per minute).
Good communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Attention to Detail: Accuracy in filing, data entry, and handling sensitive documentation.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and basic data entry.
