The E-Commerce Assistant supports the daily operations of the online store, ensuring smooth and efficient management of the e-commerce platform. This role involves managing product listings, processing orders, responding to customer inquiries, and assisting with marketing campaigns to drive sales and improve customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Product Management:
• Upload and maintain product listings on the e-commerce platform(s), including descriptions, images, and pricing.
• Ensure product information is accurate, up-to-date, and optimized for search visibility (SEO).
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the inventory team to avoid out-of-stock situations.
• Order Processing:
• Process customer orders, ensuring timely fulfillment and accurate documentation.
• Coordinate with warehouse/shipping teams to ensure on-time delivery.
• Handle returns, exchanges, and refunds as per company policy.
• Customer Service:
• Respond to customer inquiries via email, chat, or phone in a professional and timely manner.
• Resolve complaints or escalate issues to the appropriate department.
• Maintain a positive shopping experience for customers.
• Marketing Support:
• Assist with the execution of marketing campaigns, including email marketing, social media, and promotions.
• Track campaign performance and prepare reports for the e-commerce manager.
• Support content creation for blog posts, banners, and newsletters.
• Website Maintenance:
• Monitor website functionality, ensuring a seamless user experience.
• Collaborate with the technical team to fix issues such as broken links or bugs.
• Analytics & Reporting:
• Analyze sales data, website traffic, and customer behavior.
• Provide insights to improve sales performance and optimize the online store.
• Administrative Support:
• Maintain records of sales, orders, and customer interactions.
• Perform other administrative tasks as assigned by the e-commerce manager.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
• Previous experience in e-commerce, retail, or customer service is preferred.
• Proficiency in e-commerce platforms (e.g., Amazon,Myntra, WooCommerce, Pepperfry,unicommerce etc.).
• Basic knowledge of digital marketing and SEO practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Familiarity with analytics tools like Google Analytics is a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
