Job Description
Preparing patients for ECG procedures: ECG technicians in hospitals prepare patients for ECG procedures by explaining the process, positioning the patient correctly, and attaching the ECG electrodes to the patient's chest and limbs.
• Performing ECG tests: ECG technicians in hospitals operate ECG machines to record the heart's electrical activity, ensuring that the machine is calibrated correctly and that the recording is of high quality.
• Interpreting ECG results: Hospital ECG technicians analyze ECG results to identify abnormalities and prepare the report for the physician's review.
• Maintaining ECG equipment: ECG technicians in hospitals maintain the ECG equipment, ensuring that it is functioning correctly and that the electrodes and other components are clean and in good
• condition.
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals: ECG technicians in hospitals work closely with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians and nurses, to ensure that patients receive the highest quality care.
• Maintaining accurate records: ECG technicians in hospitals maintain accurate records of ECG procedures, including patient information, test results, and any other relevant information.
