Job Description

The Earthwork Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing all earthwork activities related to the road construction project. This role involves ensuring that all excavation, grading, and soil compaction tasks are performed according to project specifications, design requirements, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Management:
• Supervise and coordinate all earthwork activities on the construction site.
• Ensure that earthwork operations are executed in compliance with project plans, specifications, and schedules.
• Quality Control:
• Inspect and verify the quality of materials used in earthwork operations.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure the quality of work meets the required standards.
• Safety Compliance:
• Enforce safety regulations and ensure that all safety measures are in place and adhered to.
• Conduct safety meetings and training sessions for the earthwork team.
• Team Supervision:
• Manage and lead a team of workers, including subcontractors involved in earthwork activities.
• Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members and monitor their performance.
• Technical Guidance:
• Provide technical guidance and solutions to challenges encountered during earthwork operations.
• Interpret and execute earthwork designs and drawings.
• Coordination:
• Coordinate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure smooth workflow and project progression.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and regulatory bodies as required.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate records of earthwork activities, including daily logs, progress reports, and inspection reports.
• Prepare and submit regular progress reports to the Project Manager.
• Problem Solving:
• Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies related to earthwork operations.
• Proactively address any potential delays or risks to the project timeline.

Qualifications:

• Education: Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in supervising earthwork activities in road construction projects.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?9,693.28 - ?15,895.90 per month
