Job Summary:
The Centre Manager will oversee the daily operations of the play school, ensuring the smooth functioning of activities, adherence to educational standards, and a positive environment for both children and staff. The ideal candidate will manage the day-to-day tasks, lead the team, and ensure effective communication with parents while maintaining a safe and engaging environment for children.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operational Management:
• Oversee and manage the overall functioning of the play school.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and educational regulations.
• Manage class schedules, activities, and staff rosters.
• Supervise the upkeep and maintenance of school facilities, ensuring a safe and clean environment.
• Team Leadership:
• Recruit, train, and manage teaching and support staff.
• Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
• Provide continuous professional development and support to the staff.
• Parent Communication:
• Act as the primary point of contact for parents and guardians.
• Organize regular parent-teacher meetings to discuss children's progress.
• Address parent queries, concerns, and feedback in a timely manner.
• Curriculum and Activities:
• Ensure the curriculum and activities meet the developmental needs of the children.
• Promote creative, fun, and educational activities that help foster children's growth.
• Monitor and evaluate the educational programs to ensure high standards of learning.
• Financial Management:
• Oversee the budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation for the centre.
• Ensure the collection of fees and other financial operations are handled efficiently.
• Monitor and manage expenses within budgetary constraints.
• Compliance and Licensing:
• Ensure adherence to all legal and regulatory requirements, including local government laws, licensing, and safety standards.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and ensure continuous improvement of the centre.
• Staff and Parent Engagement:
• Build strong relationships with parents and the local community.
• Plan and coordinate events, celebrations, and workshops for parents and children.
• Ensure that the centre is consistently well-regarded in the community.
Required Qualifications:
• 12th pass or Bachelor's degree in Education, Early Childhood Development, or a related field
• Prior experience in a managerial role within the educational or childcare sector.
• Knowledge of child care regulations, safety protocols, and early childhood education principles.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
Preferred Skills:
• Previous experience as a Play School Manager or Centre Manager.
• Proficiency in using child management and administrative software.
• Experience in handling administrative tasks such as scheduling, budgeting, and staff management.
Working Hours:
• Full-time, Monday to Saturday, with occasional weekend events.
