:This position is with EAII Advisors, Evidence Action\'s technical partner in India.Position OverviewJob Title: Design and Development EngineerEmployment Status: Consultant, 6 monthsPosition Location: New DelhiAbout the PositionWe are seeking a highly skilled Design and Development Engineer to join our India Safe Water team. As a Design and Development Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and testing of water technologies and components for drinking water systems, with a focus on rural single and multi-village water schemes in India.EAII and the National Jal Jeevan Mission are conducting a project committed to providing safe water to all households. EAII is working with existing large infrastructure and complementing these systems with simple to assemble with local materials, easy-to-operate chlorination devices. We currently work in two states, Madhya Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh on single village and multi-village water schemes.Our ideal candidate will have extensive experience leading product design and development projects through the full lifecycle from prototyping to launch and servicing. The Design and Development Engineer will work with the Water Infrastructure Engineer and state teams to identify the right technology for the right site to provide clean and safe drinking water for thousands.You will be responsible for developing testing plans to validate device performance, optimizing designs for functionality and cost-effectiveness, and drafting technical specifications.
