Job Title: Duty Manager-Passenger ServicesIndustry: AviationLocation: MumbaiJob Type: Full TypeMinimum Qualification: Minimum of a Bachelor\'s degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, or a related field.Experience: At least 10 years of experience in ramp operations or a related field within the aviation industry. Job Overview:The Duty Manager will carry out the authorities of the Passenger Services Manager, plans, organizes, directs and controls all Ground Handling Services during his/her shift. He will resolves the problems related to ground handling services, controls the team effectively and ensures highest standards of customer satisfaction in terms of quality, efficiency and effectiveness.Roles and Responsibilities:Managerial:Ensures that ground handling services are in accordance with the procedures laid down by respective airlines and regulating bodies at the airport, i.e. DIAL, customs, immigration, CISF in concurrence to Ground Handling standards and procedures.Ensures that his/her team is updated with latest policies, procedures and regulations.Ensures that coherence, peace and discipline is guaranteed among the staff and necessary measures are taken, notifies Superiors on problems which he/she can not resolve, provides suggestions in order to improve ground handling services offered within Ground Handling in terms of quality, efficiency and customer satisfaction.Contributes his/her manager to formulate ground handling services strategies and policies in accordance with company\'s vision, mission, values and legal procedures, implements the approved ones.Provides necessary assistance to Passenger Services Manager in relations with the customers and airport authorities.Recommends key people for ground handling services\' operational departments to achieve goals, market share, revenue levels, cost reductions, and/or operational efficiency.Leads and coordinates his/her subordinates during his/her shift, delivers targets, monitors and evaluates his/her subordinates\' performance and provides feedback, reports them to Passenger Services Manager.
Makes spot checks regarding discrepancies and contributes to take measures in order toeliminate the same during his/her shift and reports it to the Passenger Services Manager.Conributes in making resource planning of ground handling services\' operational departments when required.Contributes in preparing procedures/instructions for ground handling services when required.Monitors monthly realization of department targets and reports them to Passenger Service Manager, measures and evaluates his/her individual performance and development, attends planned trainings and projects for self improvement.Observes customer satisfaction within ground handling services and makes proposals for improvement and submits them to Passenger Services Manager.Communicates with other departments and external agencies to ensure smooth services.Assists Passenger Services Manager significantly in carrying out relations with customers at station and state authorities (DIAL, custom, law enforcement authorities, etc.)Ensures that devices that are used in ground handling services are functioning well, and instructs Duty Officers to eliminate deficiencies.Ensures the security and safety of the company property (equipment, stationary items, etc).Ensures the confidentiality of all information regarding the company and the work he/she performs, ensures the security of valuable documents.Ensures upkeep of offices and staff grooming and uniform regulations are followed strictly.Ensures that corporate image and service standards are never jeopardized under any circumstances.Ensures that his/her team works in line with values, principles and procedures, serves as a model for employees in his/her team.Functional:Prepares monthly and weekly working schedules of ground handling services departments and submits them to Passenger Services Manager for approval, plans overtimes of personnel in the frame of working schedule and ensures necessary information flow in order to provide food and transport services for personnel.Resolves the problems within the day to day operations which are beyond the jurisdiction of the Duty Officers, informs Passenger Services Manager on problems, which he/she can not resolve or exceed his/her authorizations.Ensures that reports are issued for any accidents happening in the ramp and transmits these to the relevant units for the necessary operations.Qualifications & Skills:Minimum of a Bachelor\'s degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, or a related field.At least 7 years of experience in ramp operations or a related field within the aviation industry.Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Familiarity with ground handling software and systems.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to effectively communicate with team members, other departments, and external agenciesExperience in conducting risk assessments and implementing risk control measures.Familiarity with environmental health and safety policies and procedures.Knowledge of airport operations and ground handling standards.Note: Aviation Indeed does not charge any fee for interviews or recruitment from candidates.
