Job Description

• Patient Examination and Diagnosis:
• Conduct thorough dental examinations to assess oral health.
• Diagnose dental conditions such as cavities, gum disease, and oral cancer.
• Utilize diagnostic tools like X-rays and dental impressions.
• Treatment Planning and Execution:
• Develop treatment plans for patients based on diagnostic results.
• Perform dental procedures such as fillings, extractions, root canals, crowns, and bridges.
• Administer anesthesia and perform surgical procedures when necessary.
• Prescribe medications for dental conditions.
• Preventative Care:
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventative care.
• Provide routine cleanings and fluoride treatments.
• Apply sealants to protect teeth from decay.
• Patient Interaction and Education:
• Communicate effectively with patients to explain diagnoses and treatment options.
• Address patient concerns and answer questions related to oral health.
• Provide post-treatment care instructions and follow-up.
• Practice Management:
• Maintain accurate patient records and document all treatments and procedures.
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
• Supervise dental hygienists, assistants, and other staff members.
• Stay updated with continuing education and advancements in dental technology and techniques.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Educational Requirements:
• Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school.
• Valid dental license to practice in the relevant state or country.
• Professional Skills:
• Strong diagnostic and clinical skills.
• Proficiency in performing a wide range of dental procedures.
• Familiarity with dental software and patient management systems.
