Reports To :- Driveline Manager

1.) Job Purpose: -

Driveline Design Engineer with specific and deep know how manufacturing, suppliers, processes, assembly of mech components as friction disc, cardan shaft, casting, gears/shafts, clutches, syncro, brakes, hydro servo devices. He will act as subject matter expert inside and on behalf of Driveline Engineering in activities where required mech manufacturing know-how Good mechanical design skills (3D models and 2D drawings, considering design guidelines and international standards). Good knowledge of Engineering and Manufacturing processes

Reporting through Superiors / Managers : ITC Driveline Team Leader / Manager

Reporting through Subordinates: None

Position Responsibility: Manage all projects for India & International Region.

3.) JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: -

Design engineering and manufacturing support for transmission and axle driveline components. Requires analytical, design and manufacturing know how, working closely with other disciplines as testing, supply chain management, hydraulics and electronics.

Responsibilities:

• Driveline Engineering support to Strategic Sourcing Program, on scouting, evaluating supplier competences and capabilities, mfg footprint, ability to develop / produce mech. components
• Support of manufacturing location for Mechanical systems and components, coordinating Driveline Engineering effort with Manufacturing facilities.
• Support DL in field/plant component/system failure mode analysis, and improvement identification
• Support DFMEA and PFMEA
• Support Proto inspection improvement
• Test bench fine tuning and improvement support (new and current product)
• Assembly and Adjustment engineering specifications release

4.) Job Requirements: -

• Experience in the utilization of CAD systems (Pro-e/Creo)
• Experience in the development of mechanical driveline systems and components
• Experience in components production validation
• Significant experience in the manufacture and assembly of driveline or similarly complex components
• Self-starter who works under guidance and little supervision
• Ability to learn and demonstrate proficiency in new global processes and systems
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional teams
• Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) issues, problems, and observations of work being performed
• Experience as manufacturing in Mechanical companies

Other design team in Modena, Burr Ridge and other location; Manufacturing; Purchase

7.) Qualification, Age and Experience: -

Education-

B.Tech (Mechanical or Automobile)

Professional Qualification-

M. Tech (Optional)

Experience

Minimum 8-10 years of experience of driveline design.
