Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Drama Teacher with a strong background in both theatre and cinema acting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in drama, developing their skills in theatre and cinema, and fostering a creative and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teaching and Instruction:
• Plan and deliver engaging drama lessons that cover both theatre and cinema acting techniques.
• Develop and implement curriculum that addresses the needs and interests of students at various skill levels.
• Conduct practical sessions, workshops, and rehearsals to enhance students' performance skills.
• Student Development:
• Provide individualized feedback and support to students to help them improve their acting skills and achieve their full potential.
• Assess student performance through evaluations, performances, and presentations.
• Curriculum Development:
• Create and update lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments to reflect current trends and techniques in theatre and cinema.
• Integrate modern technology and innovative methods into the teaching process.
• Theatre Production:
• Oversee and guide students in theatre productions, including script selection, casting, and direction.
• Manage rehearsals, stage setups, and ensure the smooth execution of performances.
• Professional Development:
• Stay updated with the latest developments in drama, theatre, and cinema acting.
• Attend workshops, seminars, and conferences to enhance teaching methods and techniques.
• Administrative Duties:
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and performance.
• Collaborate with other faculty members and participate in school meetings and events.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Drama, Theatre Arts, Performing Arts, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Proven experience in teaching drama and cinema acting.
• Strong understanding of both theatre and cinema techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students.
• Experience in directing theatre productions is a plus.
