Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
Design Development: Collaborate with the design team to understand project requirements and convert conceptual sketches and ideas into detailed technical drawings.

Drafting: Use computer-aided design (CAD) software and traditional drafting techniques to create accurate and comprehensive furniture drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and assembly instructions.

Material Selection: Work closely with the materials procurement team to specify appropriate materials, finishes, and hardware for each furniture piece while considering cost-effectiveness and quality.

Quality Control: Review and revise drawings to ensure accuracy, compliance with industry standards, and alignment with the design intent. Identify and address potential issues in the design phase.

Communication: Effectively communicate with cross-functional teams, including designers, engineers, and production personnel, to provide clear and concise instructions and resolve any design-related queries.

Documentation: Maintain an organized library of design files, drawings, and specifications for easy reference and future projects. Cost Estimation: Assist in estimating material quantities and costs for furniture projects, helping to manage project budgets effectively.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, software advancements, and new design techniques to enhance productivity and design quality.

Qualifications:
? A bachelor's degree or equivalent in industrial design, furniture design, or a related field.
? Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar programs.
? Strong attention to detail and a passion for precision in design.
? Knowledge of furniture manufacturing processes and materials.
? Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
? Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
? Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to design challenges.
? Previous experience in the furniture industry is a plus

Pay: Up to ?80,000.00 per month
