Role Summary In this role, you'll be instrumental in assisting clients with drafting and filing patent applications, as well as providing strategic advice on prosecution matters.


Key Responsibilities Areas
Draft Patent applications for inventions in the field of Computer Science, Information technology, and communication technologies.
Deliver prosecution projects, including independently formulating response strategies for office actions, along with drafting complete responses to office actions.
Draft provisional specifications and complete patent applications, including well-crafted claim sets that conform to the U.S. and European patent legal and procedural standards.
Mentor team members on assigned technology areas and provide direction and guidance to team members for drafting and/or prosecution work.
Apply process knowledge to produce consistent, high-quality results in assigned tasks.
Desired Knowledge and Skills:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering/technology from a reputed institute.
Excellent domain knowledge in the field of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT).
At least 2+ years of experience in patent drafting and/or prosecution, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in patent drafting for the U.S. jurisdiction.
Experience of drafting 30+ patent applications for the U.S. domain.
Excellent comprehension skills, including the ability to read and understand technical literature and patent publications. Robust understanding of the latest and upcoming technologies. Sound fundamentals in the area of expertise.
Excellent articulation skills to explain and discuss with inventors, attorneys, and colleagues.
Strong analytical skills to analyze prior art and potentially infringing products to determine the scope of claims.
Excellent persuasive writing skills to draft convincing arguments. An Understanding of the latest case rulings would be an added advantage.
