Senior Software Developer

Together, we shape of payments.The OpportunityThis is an opportunity to work on a distributed web based payment processing application that handles hundreds of thousands of transactions every day. If you would rather do things right than do them quickly and get bored when you know a codebase too well, this job could be a great fit for you. This application has been in service for well over a decade and we\'ve been adding new features all along so there is always another corner of the codebase to explore. Because it\'s impossible for one person to know the whole codebase, collaboration is very important to us. The ideal candidate is comfortable asking questions and pairing with other developers to gain familiarity with the codebase but also enjoys digging into legacy code themselves to find their own answers.We work in 2-week sprints and have daily standups, 1-2 refinement sessions per week, and sprint retro and planning at the end and beginning of every sprint. 1:1s with your manager are weekly to start and drop down to biweekly once you\'re fully onboarded.Day-to-Day Responsibilities\xe2\x80\x8b

• Work with other developers to design, code, test and document distributed software applications
• Take part in an agile environment and the practice of iterative and incremental changes
• Lead translation of product requirements into reliable, scalable and maintainable software systems for you and your team to implement
• Develop your skills as a technical mentor through peer code reviews and other collaborative software practices
• Coordinate with production operations teams to help with ad-hoc troubleshooting and client support during regular business hours
• Contribute to software quality by writing unit tests and working with QA on the automated test suite

• You have a Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent experience in a Software Development related field
• 7+ years working in Software Development related field
• You\'ve got substantial knowledge of SQL and can manage a database (SQL Server)
• You master object orientented languages with experience in C#
• Ability to program in frontend languages and frameworks with experience in javascript
• You have experience with unit and functional test frameworks and can verify the correctness of code you write
• You thrive in a highly collaborative environment and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
