Job Summary: The Dog Handler & Helper is responsible for the overall care, training, and supervision of dogs, as well as assisting with daily operational tasks to ensure a safe, clean, and efficient environment. This role requires a strong understanding of canine behavior, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for working with animals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dog Care and Supervision:
• Ensure the physical and emotional well-being of all dogs in your care.
• Monitor and manage dog interactions to prevent conflicts and ensure safety.
• Provide regular exercise and mental stimulation for the dogs.
• Training and Behavior Management:
• Implement basic obedience training and behavior modification techniques.
• Use positive reinforcement methods to encourage good behavior.
• Address any behavioral issues and work on correcting them.
• Health and Hygiene:
• Monitor the health of dogs, checking for signs of illness or injury.
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by a veterinarian.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary environment, including cleaning kennels, grooming areas, and play spaces.
• Operational Assistance:
• Assist with feeding and watering dogs according to schedules and dietary requirements.
• Help with the transportation of dogs to and from the facility, if required.
• Support with inventory management of supplies and equipment.
• Client Communication:
• Communicate effectively with dog owners, providing updates on their pets' progress and well-being.
• Offer advice and support on dog care and training techniques.
• Record Keeping:
• Maintain accurate records of each dog's health, training progress, and any incidents.
• Report any concerns or issues to management promptly.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in animal care or training preferred.
• Experience: Prior experience working with dogs in a professional setting (e.g., kennel, daycare, training facility).
• Skills:
• Strong understanding of canine behavior and training techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments.
• Physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Other Requirements:

• Must be comfortable working with a variety of dog breeds.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Working Conditions:

• Work is performed both indoors and outdoors.
• Exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, and odors.
• Frequent interaction with dogs, including handling, training, and cleaning up after them.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?12,000.00 - ?200,000.00 per month
