The Document Controller is a member of the Quality department. S/he will liaise with all departments to provide the necessary document control and change management service in accordance with documented procedures.
Responsibilities:
o Functional expert for Change Management process.
• Resolve issues on SmartSolve for Change and Documentation Modules.
• Liaise with Master Data Team on resolving issues in SAP for the ECO notifications.
• Maintain procedures for Document Control and Change Control processes.
• Maintain Change Management process as per procedure.
• Review approvals and implement updates in a timely manner to support the various business units.
• Complete hard copy requests in a timely manner and maintain distribution list on SmartSolve accordingly.
• Work with the Quality Systems Manager on maintaining and improving the Change Management process.
• Issue additional equipment numbers and maintain relevant systems with required data.
• Maintain files for Document Management and archive when necessary.
• Issue and collect documents to/from document control boards daily.
• Report on the performance of process through weekly site metrics and monthly site metrics.
• Provide cover in Quality Systems as required.
• Comply with all Health & Safety Policies and Procedures.
Primary Skills
------------------
o Strong computer literacy skills in Microsoft Office, drawing package (e.g. CAD) and an ERP (preferably SmartSolve and SAP) system.
• Highly organized with strong ability to prioritize tasks.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Formal Quality training an advantage.
• Experience in maintaining a document control system within a regulated environment an advantage.
