What\'s this role about?

DNS L3 Admin typically refers to a role that involves the administration and management of DNS (Domain Name System) at a Level 3 (L3) level of expertise.

Here\'s how you\'ll contribute:

In this role you will help us:

- **DNS Infrastructure Management**: Design, implement, and maintain the organization\'s DNS infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and reliability.

- **Troubleshooting**: Perform advanced troubleshooting of DNS-related issues, including resolving DNS resolution problems, DNS cache management, and DNSSEC (DNS Security Extensions) configurations.

- **Security**: Implement and manage DNS security measures to protect against DNS-related attacks such as DNS spoofing, DDoS attacks, and cache poisoning.

- **DNS Policies**: Develop and enforce DNS policies and best practices to ensure efficient DNS resolution and minimize DNS-related vulnerabilities.

- **Performance Optimization**: Monitor DNS performance, analyze DNS query logs, and optimize DNS server configurations for optimal response times.

- **DNS Records Management**: Manage DNS records, including A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, and TXT records. Ensure accurate DNS record updates and zone transfers.

- **DNS Monitoring and Logging**: Set up monitoring systems to proactively detect and address DNS issues. Maintain DNS logs for auditing and troubleshooting.

- **Documentation**: Maintain comprehensive documentation of DNS configurations, policies, and procedures.

- **Collaboration**: Collaborate with network and system administrators to integrate DNS seamlessly into the organization\'s infrastructure.

Skills required to contribute:

We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for someone with:

- Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Several years of experience in DNS administration and management, with a focus on Level 3 expertise.

- In-depth knowledge of DNS protocols, DNSSEC, and DNS-related security practices.

- Proficiency in DNS server software (e.g., BIND, Microsoft DNS) and DNS management tools.

- Experience with DNS load balancing and global server load balancing (GSLB) is a plus.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation tasks is beneficial.
