Job Title - Defect Notification Manager

Performance Measurement -

• Based on a QCD approach :
• On-time delivery (adi, dpi)
• Within cost budget
• Within quality targets (RAMS, performances) for the complete turnkey system delivery

• Managing the Project Team
• Mobilisation and demobilisation of departmental teams and contractors as per site requirement with advance planning
• Mobilisation of Departmental machinery
• Setting up, maintenance and Operation of batching plants

Roles & Responsibilities -

• Be accountable and responsible for the timely completion of the respective scope of works.
• Get the approved construction designs chasing with design team
• Planning of works suiting to contractual milestones
• Planning and deploying the departmental worker team/ sub-contractor to maintain the committed progress
• Addressing site issues and resolving to get smooth & better progress
• Planning and deploying of machinery in time
• Tracking the resources and plan for its optimum utilisation
• Control the operation and maintenance of batching plants and other machinery
• Tracking of materials required for concreting of foundations, erection of OHE based on the approved designs
• Monitoring of works
• Tracking the records and documentation of all erection works for smooth billing on client
• Identifying critical issues and recording in project Log and reporting to PM
• Reporting all deviations or variations at site to design team/ PM immediately
• Daily reporting of progress, providing inputs for MPR and other progress reviews
• Interact with the Client for the purpose of this project. All communication to the Client will be channelled in consultation and advice from Project Manager.
• Interact with subcontractor for all procurement and installation facilities and will take actions in consultation with PM.
• Interact with CST contractor and other stakeholders for access and other installation issues and will take actions in consultation with PM.
• Planning the site activities to ensure timely and satisfactory completion of tasks.
• Ensure that QCD commitments exist for all work packages
• Manage convergence of all work packages as an integrated whole to meet QCD commitments
• Drive and make decisions for issues that affect performance at site level
• Drive and make decisions on work packages to ensure successful project execution
• Identify, resolve and manage impact of all variation orders and internal changes
• Identify and minimize all risks and maximize savings
• Ensure EHS system is in place and strictly followed

Qualifications & Skills:

EDUCATION

• B.E/B. Tech - Electrical/Electronics with Experience in Railway Projects

Key Requirement /EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 20 years of overall experience with 10 years in similar role ; Working in Railway composite Projects.i.e. Electrical/Signalling & Telecommunication/SCADA/Power System Electrical and Associated Civil works.
• Must have working knowledge of the system
• Must have good communication skill and able to lead Team of Engineers/Managers
• Daily/weekly/Review of activities of various sub systems and suggest appropriate action
• Regular meeting with Client to settle contractual issues and Defect Notification related matter.
• Analysis of various failure and take corrective action.
