We are seeking a skilled and experienced Deputy Manager / Manager to join our Project Management team for the Power Plant operations at our steel facility in Jamuria, West Bengal. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in project management within the power generation sector and will be instrumental in overseeing and coordinating projects to ensure they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. Key Responsibilities: Project Planning and Execution:
- Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Oversee the execution of power plant projects, ensuring adherence to plans and schedules.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless project implementation.
- Lead and manage project teams, providing direction and support to ensure effective performance.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities, monitor progress, and provide constructive feedback.
- Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and internal teams.
- Provide regular updates on project status, addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
- Ensure clear and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate their impact.
- Monitor project progress and proactively address any deviations from the plan.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure all projects meet the highest standards of quality and comply with industry regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project performance.
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation.
- Monitor project expenses and take corrective actions to stay within budget.
- Prepare financial reports and provide regular updates to senior management.
- Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. A Master\'s degree is preferred.
- Proven experience in project management within the power generation sector with a experience of 10 years, preferably within the steel industry.
- Strong knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and tools.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
