This role is crucial for managing our SQL Server environment, along with a small application in Oracle and PostgreSQL.

Job Title: Divisional Manager
Experience Required: 10+ years in Database Administration
Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage enterprise SQL Server databases, ensuring high availability, security, and performance tuning.
• Good to know: - Manage Oracle and PostgreSQL databases for a small application, ensuring smooth operations.
• Implement database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Monitor database health, conduct capacity planning, and optimize performance.
• Lead database upgrades, migrations, and maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with data security policies, access control, and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and security teams to support business objectives.
• Implement automation for database deployments, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Mentor and guide a team of DBAs, ensuring best practices are followed.
• Manage vendor relationships for database licensing, support, and troubleshooting.

Technical Skills Required:

• Must: SQL Server Administration (Performance tuning, Always On, High Availability, Clustering).
• Good to Know: Oracle Database Administration (basic knowledge for small application support).
• Good to Know: PostgreSQL Administration (basic to intermediate knowledge).
• T-SQL, PL/SQL, and procedural scripting for automation.
• Experience with cloud databases (Azure SQL) is must.
• Understanding of PowerShell, Shell scripting for database automation is an advantage.

• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams.
• Experience in working under tight deadlines and managing multiple projects.
