The dispatch manager will oversee the coordination and execution of dispatch operations, ensuring the timely and efficient dispatch of materials to designated recycling facilities.Roles and Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate the activities of dispatchers to ensure the efficient allocation and dispatch of waste recycling vehicles. Plan and organize the daily dispatch schedule based on operational needs, customer demands, and resource availability. Monitor vehicle tracking systems to track vehicle locations and ensure compliance with planned routes and schedules. Collaborate with other departments, such as operations, maintenance, and customer service, to ensure smooth coordination of activities. Manage a team of dispatchers and drivers, including assigning work schedules, providing guidance, and monitoring performance to ensure smooth operations and adherence to safety protocols. Utilize routing software and tools to optimize routes, minimize travel time, and maximize fuel efficiency, considering traffic conditions, capacity utilization, and customer requirements. Monitor and manage staff schedules, workload distribution, and time off requests to ensure adequate coverage. Generate regular reports and dashboards to communicate operational performance, trends, and recommendations to management. Conduct periodic audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.Skills: Superior written, and verbal communication knowledge Familiarity with best industry practices Knowledge of Dispatch techniques, and route optimization.
