Key Responsibilities:
• Coordination and Scheduling:
• Plan and schedule dispatches of petrochemical products based on customer orders, production schedules, and available transportation.
• Coordinate with drivers, carriers, and logistics partners to ensure timely delivery.
• Monitor and track vehicles and shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
• Compliance and Safety:
• Ensure that all transportation activities comply with safety regulations and industry standards, particularly concerning hazardous materials (HAZMAT).
• Maintain proper documentation for all dispatches, including safety permits and legal compliance records.
• Conduct regular checks to ensure vehicles are compliant with regulatory standards for the transportation of petrochemical products.
• Customer Service:
• Serve as the main point of contact for customers regarding the status of deliveries.
• Address and resolve customer complaints related to delays, damages, or other transportation issues.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining timely communication.
• Inventory and Stock Management:
• Work closely with the warehouse team to ensure proper stock levels and efficient loading/unloading operations.
• Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, including fuel consumption, mileage, and product quantities.
• Vendor and Carrier Management:
• Liaise with external transportation providers and ensure that service agreements are met.
• Evaluate performance of carriers and suggest improvements for better efficiency and cost management.
• Reporting:
• Generate daily/weekly/monthly reports on dispatch activities, vehicle performance, and delivery efficiency.
• Analyze logistical data to improve dispatch processes and minimize delays.
• Emergency Management:
• Handle emergency situations, such as vehicle breakdowns or accidents, in compliance with company policies and industry standards.
• Implement contingency plans to minimize disruptions in supply chains.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field (preferred).
• 3+ years of experience in dispatch/logistics, preferably in the petrochemical or oil and gas industry.
• Knowledge of hazardous materials transportation regulations (HAZMAT certification preferred).
• Proficient in dispatch and logistics software.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Experience: 2 years of experience in logistics or dispatch operations, preferably in the petrochemical industry.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficient in logistics management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle Transportation Management, TMS).
• Familiarity with fleet management systems and GPS tracking tools.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication to coordinate with teams, vendors, and clients.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to make quick decisions to resolve transportation-related issues.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to manage and track multiple shipments, ensuring accuracy in documentation and dispatches.
• Knowledge of Regulations: Familiarity with petrochemical transport regulations, including hazardous material handling and environmental laws
