JOB DESCRIPTION: -
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Dispatcher to manage our operations during the critical after-hours shift. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in dispatching and possess exceptional organizational and communication skills. This role is vital for ensuring seamless operations and effective coordination during overnight hours.
Key Responsibilities:
• Dispatch Operations: Efficiently manage and coordinate dispatching of personnel, vehicles, or equipment during the after-hours shift, ensuring timely and accurate responses to requests.
• Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers, field personnel, and customers during the night shift. Address and resolve any issues or concerns that arise promptly and professionally.
• Monitoring: Oversee and monitor the status of ongoing operations, including tracking shipments, managing schedules, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
• Problem Solving: Quickly assess and resolve operational problems or emergencies, including rerouting, handling delays, and making real-time decisions to maintain service levels.
• Documentation: Accurately record and update dispatch logs, incident reports, and other relevant documentation to ensure accurate and comprehensive records of operations.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other dispatchers and departments to ensure smooth handover of information and continuity of service between shifts.
• Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to customers by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
• Qualifications:
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a dispatcher or in a similar role, preferably with experience handling after-hours or night shifts.
• Skills: Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in dispatch software and communication tools.
• Tools: More preference will be given to the person who knows how to work with Skybitz, Samsara software.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interact effectively with diverse individuals and manage high-pressure situations.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with GPS tracking systems, dispatching software, and standard office applications.
• Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately record and report information.
