Maintains a clear, well-coordinated and efficient closing process
Identifies ways to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the close and consolidation process and leads process improvement initiatives
Maintains thorough and current understanding of US GAAP. Keeps abreast of emerging accounting, SEC reporting and disclosure standards
Implements new accounting pronouncements as necessary
Owns the external auditor relationship; provides audit support documentation as it relates to the consolidation and SEC reporting.
Owns technical accounting memorandums and related conclusions
Owns internal controls under Section 404 of the Sarbanes Oxley Act ("SOX")
Works closely with the Business, FP&A, Treasury, Tax, Corporate Development and other functions to ensure the quality, accuracy and consistency of the financial data reported in the general ledger and consolidation systems
Practical experience on GAAP conversions - especially from IFRS to U.S GAAP
Strong work ethic and adherence to strict filing deadlines
Self-starter, highly motivated individual
Cross Border transaction
Debtors / AR Management: - Control over invoicing, credit period of debtors. Reviewing debtors Outstanding and planning collections plan and cash flow.
General Ledger & Fixed Assets accounting and Ledger Security
Highly analytical
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Proven leadership in people and project management

U.S. CPA license or Chartered accountant

U.S. based big 4 experience highly preferred

7+ years of experience as Corporate Controller at a multinational company

U.S. public company reporting experience

Contributes to creation of a high performance culture through effective communication & verbal skills Covers US GAAP reporting, MIS, Finalization of accounts, Taxation, Statutory accounts, Treasury including cash forecast

Ensures that financial data is being properly and accurately extracted from internal reporting systems in compliance with reporting system requirements .

Leads a high-performing global team (~4-5 employees)
