The MarCom Technology & Data Team is a Center of Excellence who is responsible for activating, enabling and optimizing the go to market product strategy for the Audience Measurement solutions leveraging marketing platforms and data.
The Director of Website Development will be responsible for executing the digital website strategy through the implementation, development and enhancement of Nielsen's Corporate Website. As a member of the MarTech and Data team, this role will assist in the evaluation and onboarding of new platforms, solutions and functionality to support marketing campaigns and initiatives.
### ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Leads the investigation and discovery of emerging technologies and trends in the Digital Web Space to maintain a competitive advantage.
• Responsible for the architecture, tech infrastructure and tools needed to support Nielsen.com, which includes the management of vendor relationships and integrations with third party services.
• Develop, maintain and manage the digital experiences hosted on Nielsen.com ensuring adherence to best practices standards and regulatory requirements.
• Lead a team of developers, engineers and technologists, providing guidance, mentorship and fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous learning.
• Partners with the Website Product Owner and Website strategist to implement user experience enhancements, including measurement and testing tools to optimize and improve engagement.
• Establish robust testing methodologies and security protocols to ensure reliability, performance and stability. Responsible for monitoring and analyzing website performance to identify areas for improvement.
• Implement measures and processes to detect and mitigate vulnerabilities, threats and risks to digital experiences.
• Responsible for establishing and maintaining website standards and governance model to ensure the site is performant, meets security standards and service level agreements.
• Assign Development Work and assess development effort, managing team and optimizing team capacity to improve operational efficiencies.
• Gather feedback from stakeholders to inform necessary improvements and adjustments to technology to achieve business goals.
### QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
• BS/BA/MA/MS in Technology, Computer Science or related field
• 6+ years experience in a Technology leadership role, preferably within a Marketing organization
• Extensive knowledge of web development technologies, programming languages and web frameworks, including cross-browser compatibility HTML, JavaScript and CSS, CSS3, and security principle
• Strong understanding of web design principles, user experience design and responsive web design techniques
• Experience working in the WordPress development ecosystem
• Deep understanding of cloud-based hosting technologies such as AWS/Google Cloud
• Experience managing a remote/distributed team
• Excellent Communication Skills
• Strong relationship skills capable of developing, maintaining and growing internal and external strategic relationships across partners and functions Energetic, passionate, with an appetite to grow
