Company: MMC CorporateDescription:Marsh McLennan is seeking candidates for the following position based at the Gurgaon office:Director - Systems Architecture - EnterpriseWhat can you expect?The Domain Architect is responsible for driving the technology strategy of the Career business area, working closely with the associated TPM to ensure alignment to the business strategy and Technology Roadmap. Business stakeholders for client-related technical queriesOpportunity to interact with technical teams within client organizations for service integration activities. Software and technology service vendors as relevant for projects and ongoing application maintenanceWe will count on you to:Define the application, data and technical architecture strategy for their domain, aligning with overall technology strategy and MMC Enterprise architecture Standards.Prepare and maintain application roadmaps for applications that are within their domain to complement the overall domain Technology Roadmap.Act as the Domain Architect in the Global Software Catalogue for all applications in their domain, ensuring that:All information in the architecture sections is current and accurate.Each application is strategically positioned.Application timelines for major architectural events such as re-writing, consolidation or decommissioning are captured and maintained.Collaborate with the TPM and technical owner to provide answers to technical queries.Ensures all critical applications have a base set of documentation comprising:Ideally \xe2\x80\x93 Solution Architecture Document, EDDMinimally - Conceptual architecture diagramReviews projects that impact applications in their domain. Approves the creation of new applications, and the correct use of existing applications, as part of the project governance process.Provides guidance to the business, delivery teams and Solution Architects on the choice of solution architectures.Participates in the Architecture Assurance process, including conducting Architecture Design Reviews.Performs analysis on their domain as part of divisional or firm-wide initiatives.Collaborates with other domain architects, including architects across MMC Tech, to drive re-use and simplification.Maintains awareness of MMC Enterprise Standards and industry technology trendsWhat you need to have:EducationEducated to degree standard in a Computer Science or Science-related subjectExperienceAt least 15 years of experience in IT at large organizations, including:At least 10 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in full lifecycle application developmentAt least 2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in defining and implementing architectural strategies for a business area within a large organizationKnowledge and skills (general and technical)Knowledge of MMC-relevant technologies (e.g. approved programming languages, application platforms and architecture patterns) is required. Any specific expertise in technologies used in MMC is an advantage.For the Domain Architect role in Career, knowledge and experience of the following technologies is essential:MEAN stack and containers (e.g. Kubernetes)Business Intelligence tools (e.g. Qlik, Power BI)Data management and processing (e.g. data warehouses, data analysis, R, Python)and knowledge of the following technologies is advantageous:Machine learning/Artificial IntelligenceContent management tools (e.g. Drupal, AEM)What makes you stand out?Certifications: TOGAF accreditation and other industry recognized certifications such as Cloud Certifications are an advantage but not required.Business Acumen: Ability to understanding the business context and aligning technical decisions with organizational goals is essential for a technical domain architect. Should have a good understanding of the industry, market trends, and business strategies to ensure that their architectural designs contribute to the overall success of the organization.Industry Knowledge and Continuous Learning: Staying up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and industry standards is crucial for a technical domain architect. A standout candidate should demonstrate a passion for continuous learning, actively seek out new knowledge, and apply industry best practices to their architectural designs.Problem-solving and Analytical Thinking: Technical domain architects are responsible for solving complex technical challenges and making critical decisions. They should possess strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills to identify root causes, evaluate options, and make informed decisions that balance technical feasibility, business needs, and long-term sustainability.Leadership and Collaboration: A technical domain architect works closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and other architects.
