This person will provide domain expertise, oversee process improvements, and deliver on team projects. The Director of Software Engineering will work cross functionally with the company's product development, infrastructure, security, and software development teams to provide customer-centric solutions and build a world-class service-oriented architecture for the Accurate ordering platforms to meet the exploding growth of the company and business demands. This individual plays a key role within the end-to-end phase of software development lifecycle. \Responsibilities

• Partner with senior leaders in product management to shape product roadmaps that help close competitive gaps, allow us to penetrate new industries/markets, and/or win strategic deals.
• Review and provide level of effort for upcoming high-level requests from stakeholders.
• Manage and mentor multiple engineering managers across regions.
• Work directly with the VP of Software Engineering on strategic initiatives to align with overall company goals.
• Collaborate with software architects to come up with solution designs on highly visible projects.
• Drive recruiting activities to build out software development teams.
• Establish domain expertise and best practices across scrum teams.
• Define and oversee metrics and objectives that will drive teams towards success.
• Possess a clear understanding of the software development lifecycle, particularly around project management, development, quality, release, and production support.
• Work collaboratively with Infrastructure, Product Management, Operations, and Account Management teams to foster a one-team mindset.
• Establish communication standards within Technology and the greater company business units.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent education/experience.
• 5+ years in software management
• 8+ years in the software development discipline
• Participated in multiple areas of the software development process
• Solid understanding of the Agile or SCRUM development process and software release processes.
• Must be a self-starter who is highly organized, hands-on, and a team player.
• Ability to thrive in a fast paced, startup environment.
• Experience working with cloud-based technologies such as AWS.
• Detail oriented, with strong written and verbal communication.

Pay will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and relevant education and training. This position may also be eligible for an annual performance-based bonus, commission, or other variable pay plan.
