As the Director of Software Engineering, you will be responsible for managing applications within our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform, which house property and transaction related data and offers a comprehensive suite of leasing tools. This is a leadership role that requires technical expertise, managerial skills, and an understanding of CRE technology and leasing processes.Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of software engineers, architects, and other technical professionals, ensuring successful delivery of software projects within budget and timeline constraints.
  • Collaborate with the security team to ensure the application's robustness and integrity, identifying vulnerabilities and implementing appropriate security measures to enhance data protection and application outlook.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team, setting coding standards, best practices, and ensuring adherence to quality assurance processes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including regional leasing teams, operations teams, and product managers, to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of the CRM application, ensuring scalability, security, and usability.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement of the CRM application by staying up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
  • Manage cross-functional relationships with other technology teams, such as data engineering, infrastructure, and DevOps, to ensure seamless integration and operation of the CRM application.
  • Monitor system performance and address any issues related to application availability, reliability, and performance.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and partners to integrate third-party tools and services into the CRM application.
  • Stay abreast of market trends, competitor offerings, and industry regulations affecting the CRE leasing space.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role managing software development teams, preferably in the CRE or property management industry.
  • Strong technical skills, with expertise in programming languages such as Java, C#, NodeJs or Python.
  • Experience with database design and management, preferably with knowledge of property data and lease sales transaction data.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing and SaaS platforms, particularly AWS or Azure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to drive projects from conception to completion, managing resources, budgets, and timelines.
