About the Role:

We're seeking a talented and highly motivated software lead to help us develop a scalable, high-performance, cloud-based platform for large-scale data storage and processing. Solve interesting technical challenges in the areas of distributed high-performance computing for a high-available cloud environment.
Candidate is hands-on and passionate about exploiting multiple languages and programming techniques across products, frameworks, and API layers 'using the right tool for the right job' to address sustainable solutions. Candidate is willing to explore new tools & technologies to meet the product demands.
This person will work closely with existing team members and lead Architecture & Development of a comprehensive Java/J2EE based products. The role requires tight collaboration with product managers and business analysts to develop the products according to the business schedule.
General and deep experience with Core Java concepts and J2EE technologies and leadership in building robust, scalable APIs including OpenAPI and GraphQL API are a must. Strong knowledge of relational database, AWS knowledge is must.
This position will suit candidates who enjoy both the technical and business aspects of architecting & developing software solutions to a schedule in an environment of high visibility and transparency around deliverables, business needs, and customer value.
Responsibilities:
Participate in multiple software development processes including requirement analysis, architecture & design, coding, testing and Documentation.
Use your in-depth knowledge to lead the design, development, and deployment of API solutions using Java technologies.
Design and implement API solutions using Open API and GraphQL API standards.
Help support data ingestion use cases to enable analytical users to have scalable, seamless access to data.
Develop software applications based on clear business specifications.
Perform Application & System Performance tuning and troubleshoot performance issues.
Build applications with object-oriented concepts and apply design patterns.
Integrate in-house applications with various vendor software platforms.
Perform unit testing of application code and fix errors.
Effectively interact with multiple stakeholders including analytical business users, product management, and technology
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of software developers.
Manage and coordinate team activities to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software products.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and business analysts, to define project requirements and deliverables.
Ensure best practices in coding, testing, and deployment are followed.
Perform code reviews, identify potential issues, and provide solutions.
Foster a collaborative and productive team environment, promoting knowledge sharing and professional growth.
What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems or Engineering is required, or in lieu, a demonstrated equivalence in work experience.
Strong hands-on experience in designing, developing, testing, and successfully deploying critical and complex projects.
Long standing hands-on experience in building web applications, APIs, etc. using industry standard languages and/or frameworks
Understanding of API security and authentication protocols (OAuth, JWT).
Extensive experience in API development, including RESTful, Open API, and GraphQL API.
Experience in designing and implementing micro services-based solutions.
Should have experience writing unit/integration tests.
Experience writing SQL queries and good understanding of data modeling.
Experience in data engineering, SQL/NOSQL databases, Big Data, and Analytics
Strong understanding of data lake technologies & implementation patterns
Basic Knowledge of User Interface design & development using Angular, HTML5 & CSS
Working knowledge in AWS cloud
Experience in DevOps development and deployment using docker and containers.
Excellent written & verbal communication
Good knowledge about Infrastructure and exposure to CI/CD
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies
Proven experience in team management, including coordinating team activities, mentoring, and fostering a collaborative and productive team environment.
