This role is accountable for the growth of the top & bottom line of the Ruminants Business Unit. It also involves overseeing strategic planning , implementation of Company Policies and Procedures, ensure operational excellence, talent and Skills development of the team, New Product development & deliver on short term & long terms goals for the BU
What will you do:
Achieve assigned budget & KPIs for the business
To become best solution provider company in market, needs to steer with vision and extend guidance and support to sales team
Allocation of Sales targets and KPIs to be defined for team
To Develop the sales team members by utilizing the performance discuss (my Career) as the primary development tool
Ensure Training development of direct and indirect reportees, mainly training and implementation of PharmaSell/Action selling process
Develop and maintain close rapport, working with Distributor and key customers
Create Marketing Strategy / Roadmap implementation, Health platform, Pricing
Work closely with Technical Services, Credit Control, and logistic to ensure optimal sales-marketing synergy.
Effective implementation of Company /BU strategies through Zonal Business Mangers (SLMs) who have key role in execution and achieving defined objectives
Maintain good relations & develop business from ever demanding and negotiating customers
Coaching, mentoring, guiding to all sales team members directly & indirectly reporting to him
Motivate sales team members reporting directly & indirectly reporting to him
Managing positive price effect in a market with ever declining prices
Achieve targeted sales ratios
To provide good Technical support to customers effective coordination with VSD
Acting as a part of National PV team to work closely with PV DPOC for reporting of PV issues as per Merck PV related guidelines and assisting in closure of PV issues.
What you must have
Education : Bachelor in Veterinary Science or other related qualification, backed up by minimum 10 years of experience in animal health or bio-pharma industry, A Masters in Veterinary Science or MBA will be desired
Experience :
8+ years relevant experience in the ethical veterinary market.
Proven leadership qualities including the ability to identify talent, coach and develop
Working knowledge of basic finance
Good communication skills in written and spoken English is preferred
Good networking skills
Ability to operate effectively across different cultural zones
Competencies : Negotiation Skills, Technical Knowledge & Expertise
