Job Title Director - Product ManagementPOSITION SUMMARY - Director- Product ManagementRole objectivesDirector- Product Management will be in charge of the Product Management practice for Amadeus Airline solutions with a focus on the following key aspects: As a Product Management Leader, the expectation is to create/ set and drive the Product Vision and strategy of a specific Product Line. The individual will be required to lead the team to continuously deliver on the vision. We are seeking individuals who have an in-depth knowledge of the industry, the Airlines needs, market-place and opportunities, competition and future trends as well as Product expertise. The role requires one to build close relationships with key stakeholders. From a people management perspective, the person will be responsible for supporting collaboration and alignment to the business domain leader and create a strong, resilient, continuously evolving Product Management team.Main responsibilitiesUnderstand the market and customers. Integrate and translate business needs into new product concepts or upgrades, and interact with Epic owners and Product Managers to develop Lean Business Cases affecting the Agile Release Train. As cross functional managers, PMs need to be able to see how and where systems and processes that affect product success can be improved. Evaluate the efficiency and collaboration between commercial sales/ marketing teams with reference to the product plans/goals. This also includes effectiveness of the Services and Support team in ensuring customer centricity is upheld. The flow from concept to development to market should be as smooth as possible.Lead and own the product vision and roadmapLead existing Product Portfolio PM organization in BLR and manage efficiently its growth and support R&D growth. Define and develop the product vision, Business domain product initiative & the business value in line with the Business owners, PMs, Product Owners & agile teams. Communicate and promote customers & Amadeus transversal teams on product vision and roadmap, share product knowledge and ensure mutual understanding of the business. Drive transversal initiatives and communication with Global relevant business teams. Represent Amadeus to customers in close partnership with local & global teams.Lead the product features definitionWith the support of the Release Train leads and engineers and priorities provided by the Lean Portfolio Management, lead the definition and prioritization of the Release Train Features, based on customer needs and value, to deliver based on market and business needs. Consider and prioritize amongst all Features the enabler work and sequence the architectural runway in collaboration with Architects/Engineering. Collaborate with other teams across the group to ensure coherent prioritization, product alignment, marketing and user experience across various ARTs/Products/Groups. Participate to Program Increment & related Planning Event. Present updated Product vision & strategy [aligned with the Objectives Key Results] highlighting the proposed features and any relevant upcoming milestones during PI (expand PI) Planning. Approve PI objectives and clarify the business & customer value that is aimed to be delivered. Actively participate to the Business Owner tour, PO/PM sync, draft plan reviews and management meeting. Actively participate to System demos and Inspect & Adapt workshops. Actively contribute to the Community of Practice of Product Owners and Product Managers. Closely follows the delivery of the ongoing PI features and helps solving encountered impedimentsPEOPLE MANAGEMENT AND TALENT DEVELOPMENTCreate a strong, resilient, continuously evolving Product Management team. Define the local people strategy (profiles, talent pipeline, sourcing, resource assignment, key talent management, etc.). Attract, recruit, and efficiently ramp-up the Product Management workforce that is empowered and works collaboratively. Maintain strong morale and engagement; valuing the contribution of each product manager and promoting a culture of recognition. Apply and follow-up objectives for individuals defined as per Business Domain goals. Assist, guide, coach and motivate team members in the PM practice. Manage talent initiatives and processes related to their area/department (incl. assessment, development, motivation and pay review) . This will allow us to secure our mid-long-term market leadership and growth ambitions.The Product unit will be structured around domains (Offer, Order, Traveler Touch points & Experience - previously Digital for Airlines) and complemented by the Product Portfolio group responsible for defining and driving our overall data-driven, traveler-centric product portfolio strategy as well as new value-add transversal solutions linked to customer loyalty and excellence as well as our product proposition for airline commercial and technical excellence. These transversally focused product teams will work in close collaboration with our R&D counterparts, domains, Platform, PMM and other business lines (e.g. Payment, Airline Operations, Distribution, Navitaire) to bring new value to market quickly and provide clear, aligned direction setting, roadmap prioritization and business decision-making at portfolio level.The Product team will support Pre-Sales and Business Development activities for products at the incubation/introduction stages of the product lifecycle, as well as fostering a strong, satisfied and continuously evolving Product Management team and practice.Digital Experience Product PortfolioProviding Airlines with flexible, open products & services to outperform their direct touchpoints and empower their travelers and agents across the full travel lifecycle. Traveler Touchpoints & Experience group within Airline Solutions includes driving technical transversal programs, delivering key platform enablers, operating the production environment, and providing technical expertise.
