What you will do:The Director of Operations will oversee and drive the operational efficiency and strategy for the buy-sell models global footprint. This role requires a seasoned leader with a deep understanding of global supply chains, cross-border regulations, tax optimization, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have experience managing complex operational structures, ensuring that every part of the value chain sourcing, procurement, logistics, finance, tax, legal, and compliance is optimized to meet international standards and business growth objectives.

  • Global Operations Management: Lead end-to-end operations for the buy-sell model across multiple regions, ensuring operational excellence and scalability.
  • Cross-Border Compliance: Ensure that the company's operations adhere to global tax, customs, and trade regulations across all regions of operation.
  • Client Delight: Strong ability to be customer facing and work with stakeholders from various industries as thought partners and collaborators to achieve mutually successful outcomes
  • Supply Chain Optimization: Oversee sourcing, procurement, and logistics operations to streamline processes and optimize cost, quality, and efficiency.
  • Team Leadership: Build and manage a global team of operations specialists, fostering a culture of performance, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with leadership, product, finance, operations, legal, and tax teams to ensure alignment of business strategies with operational goals.
  • Risk Management: Develop strategies for mitigating risks associated with cross-border operations, including regulatory, financial, legal, and logistical challenges.
  • Vendor & Partner Management: Manage global partnerships and vendors to ensure seamless supply chain operations and compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvements and operational enhancements, leveraging data and analytics to drive decisions.
  • Global Tax Planning Support: Collaborate with tax and finance teams to support transfer pricing and global tax strategies.
  • Technology Integration: Partner with IT teams to ensure operational tools and technologies are cutting edge next generation, have an intuitive UI and UX, and support efficient workflows and global reporting.
What you should bring:
  • Education: Bachelors degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or related fields. MBA or advanced degrees preferred.
  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in global operations, with a focus on cross-border supply chains, finance, procurement, and logistics.
  • Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, tax compliance, and global logistics.
  • Proven track record in growing large-scale operations across multiple regions.
  • Leadership and team-building experience with cross-functional teams in a global environment.
  • Navigating ambiguity and searching for answers to questions that havent been asked before
  • Structured approach to thinking to create frameworks to tackle novel problems
  • Expertise in supply chain optimization and process improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, decision-making, and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience with operational software and tools, including ERP, finance, and supply chain management systems.
  • A growth mindset and desire to learn and strong sense of resilience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in fast-moving goods or procurement solutions.
  • Familiarity with Candex or fintech solutions related to international goods transactions.
  • Knowledge of global tax strategies and transfer pricing.
