As a Director of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate and Investment Bank Payments Technology team, you lead a technical area and drive impact within teams, technologies, and projects across departments. Utilize your in-depth knowledge of software, applications, technical processes, and product management to drive multiple complex projects and initiatives, while serving as a primary decision maker for your teams and be a driver of innovation and solution delivery. You\'ll be required to apply your depth of knowledge and expertise to all aspects of the software development lifecycle, as well as partner continuously with your stakeholders on a daily basis to stay focused on common goals. Job Responsibilities:

• Leads technology and process implementations to achieve functional technology objectives
• Accountable for decisions that influence teams\xe2\x80\x99 resources, budget, tactical operations, and the execution and implementation of processes and procedures
• Carries governance accountability for coding decisions, control obligations, and measures of success such as cost of ownership, maintainability, and portfolio operations
• Delivers technical solutions that can be leveraged across multiple businesses and domains
• Influences peer leaders and senior stakeholders across the business, product, and technology teams
• Champions the firm\xe2\x80\x99s culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Strong experience in Java and Micro service architecture, REST API design/development
• Experience with build automation, test driven development, continuous integration and delivery
• Expertise in leveraging APIs, and security, authentication and data structures.
• Reviewing and elaborating stakeholder requirements. Working with Product Owners to shape the product direction, balancing what\'s technically feasible and what is desired by the end user.
• Implement solutions with an equal focus on both functional and non-functional requirements
• Understand/apply reusable code design, leverage application architecture/framework capabilities and functionality, and design/develop solutions that are highly reliable, scalable, and perform to meet business-defined service levels.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure quality solutions are built and tested.
• Employ Agile practices; Pair Programming; Continuous Integration; Test Driven Development, etc.
• Contribute to the technical code and design documentation.
• Conduct solid analysis and problem solving to provide production support and L3 cover

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Experience of Web UI frameworks such as REACT or Angular
• Experience building and deploying software to Public Cloud
• Payments experience or any experience of working in a financial services organization
