You will need to possess strong leadership skills to build relationships with the stakeholders and manage a team of Senior Managers and Subject Matter Experts. We seek a dynamic leader who can use data to drive decisions, prioritise operational excellence, and deliver cutting-edge solutions for foundational capabilities and shared network services worldwide. This role presents a unique opportunity to significantly impact how Salesforce operates by connecting our global workforce and driving our mission forward. You will minimise downtime, reduce costs through efficient processes and vendor management, and ensure a robust network foundation for sustained business growth.Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Excellence: Define and implement operational processes, monitoring, and troubleshooting procedures to ensure network uptime, availability, and performance.Security and Compliance: Collaborate with the security team to maintain network security, implement best practices, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, ensuring clear communication, alignment of priorities, and proactive collaboration.Team Leadership & Development: Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of network engineers, including hiring, performance management, and career development.Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive network strategy aligned with Salesforce's business goals, technology roadmap, and future growth projections.Network Architecture and Design: Design and oversee the implementation of robust, scalable, and secure network foundation services such as DNS, DHCP, IPAM, and the Observability platform.Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with network vendors and service providers. Manage SLAs, and oversee timely delivery.Capacity Planning and Budgeting: Forecast network capacity needs, develop budgets, and ensure cost-effective resource allocation.Innovation: Stay abreast of emerging network technologies and proactively identify opportunities to improve efficiency, performance, and user experience.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.10+ years of progressive experience in network engineering and architecture, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing large-scale, distributed networks.Deep expertise in network protocols, security solutions, and management tools.Experience with Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and network automation.Strong understanding of cloud networking concepts and hybrid network architectures. * Strong people leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.

• Strong knowledge of ITIL or other IT service management frameworks and familiarity with agile, scrum, and project management skills.
• Proven experience in vendor management, contract negotiation, and budget management.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
