Director, LSEG Microsoft Partnership Risk LSEG and Microsoft have entered into an exciting strategic partnership for the development of next-generation data, analytics and cloud infrastructure solutions. The Role We are seeking a Director to join our new LSEG Microsoft Partnership Risk team that sits within our Technology, Cyber & Resilience (TCR) function within 2nd LoD Group Risk, reporting into our new Head of Risk for the LSEG Microsoft Partnership. The role will be responsible for embedding a strong risk management culture, discipline and practices throughout the Partnership, ensuring Workstream Leadership and their teams understand their risk ownership accountabilities and importantly can execute against their risk management responsibilities. We\'re looking for an experienced risk leader who can operate at a senior leadership level by establishing trusted, enduring relationships and operate with high credibility and influence. Ideally, you will have experience of working in regulated Financial Institutions in risk related roles, proficient with public CSP technologies (ideally Microsoft Azure) and cloud architecture, modern software development practices, agile methodologies, product management and digital transformation. Key Responsibilities Providing independent oversight, review and challenge of the Partnership Risk Profile and Control Environment Working in collaboration with Workstream Leadership to develop the Workstream Risk Profile, Risk Appetite Statement and associated thresholds and levels \'Evangelise\' the discipline of risk management, ensuring it is recognised as an enabling capability that increases certainty and predictability, rather than viewed as a business blocker or compliance Key focus on the cloud migration, ensuring strong risk management practices are integral to overall preparedness and execution which preserve safety, soundness and operational resilience Establish a \'Trusted Partnership\' between Group Risk and Workstream Leadership, where risk dialogue can be robust, yet respectful, constructive and importantly pragmatic Provide risk management Subject Mater Expertise (SME) that is pragmatic, credible and actively sought out by Workstream Leadership Represent Group Risk at Workstream Governance Committees, ensuring risk management is integral to decision making Develop, operationalise and embed an agile Risk and Control Self-Assessment process (aRCSA), Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and Key Control Indicators (KCIs) within the Workstreams Ensure risk transparency and reporting with appropriate escalation where necessary, maintaining a \'no surprises\' approach Management of Risk Issues, ensuring identification, tracking, timely closure and accurate status reporting Oversight of adherence to the LSEG Group Policy Framework (GPF) as appropriate Play an effective \'interface\' role between the wider TCR team, providing regular team briefings, knowledge sharing and updates and ensuring alignment to LSEG\'s broader technology risk strategy. Work closely with 3rd LoD Internal Audit, ensuring a coordinated approach between respective LoDs to minimise duplication of effort and stakeholder friction. Candidate Profile 10+ years Financial Services experience in a relevant risk role such as 1st LoD Risk Management or Chief Controls Office, 2nd LoD Operational Risk Management or 3rd LoD Internal Audit Strong stakeholder management and organisational awareness, with the ability to navigate dynamics, strong views and challenges Ability to build credible, trusted relationships Analytical with the ability to understand and simplify complexity and synthesise disparate data sources to \'connect the dots\' Comfortable to work with ambiguity and in unstructured situations and circumstances Ability to work in agile, modern ways of working practices Outstanding written and verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to deliver \'context aware\' risk messages to Senior Leadership Demonstrable technical expertise and experience in technology risk management, cyber security, operational resilience, transformation and change risk assessment Proficient with public CSP technologies (ideally Microsoft Azure) and cloud architecture concepts, modern software development practices and digital transformation Proficient with \'Product\' and \'Agile\' philosophies, constructs and practices Professional risk management certification or qualification such as CISA, CISSP, CISM or CRISC.
