Our new office in Hyderabad will bring together knowledge across business, technology, analytics, and AI, accelerating our ability to deliver impactful solutions for the business and our customers across the globe.Position SummaryDirector, HR Business PartnerWe are looking for a Director, HR Business Partner (McDonalds in India Head of HR) who will report to the Vice President, Center HR as part of the Center HRBP team. The Director, People Partner guides work in the areas of strategic workforce planning, organization design, talent management, employee relations, compensation, talent attraction, and diversity and inclusion. This person will support the senior leaders of the McDonalds Capability Center in India, acting as a coach, consultant, and business partner to implement broad people strategies and build organizational capabilities. This role drives the people agenda forward, using the power of HR function and People Solutions partners for subject matter expertise. The People Partner needs to understand the business priorities and translate them into the highest impact work.While no two days are likely to be the same, your typical responsibilities will include:

  • Work with a great deal of autonomy to lead the development and execution of McDonalds in Indias strategic plans, ensuring that people are positioned to get results
  • Serve as a talent diagnostician to the global corporate functions, deeply understanding the business strategy / functional priorities, and building talent strategies to help enable them.
  • Act as the primary People Partner for the India office as well as overseeing all other People Partners supporting the McDonalds in India Office.
  • Provide coaching and consultation on request to senior leadership about all people-related opportunities and challenges.
  • Advise and coach functional leaders on organizational decisions (e.g., staffing, development, employee relations) to ensure that they align with people strategies
  • Anticipate and assess the gaps between business needs and people systems/capabilities within function and use information to drive appropriate actions
  • Customize, execute and embed all talent planning activities (goal setting, development planning, succession planning, annual year-end compensation and performance review process, etc.) with a focus on developing robust teams
  • Lead plans to advance enterprise DEI initiatives within the team in order to build diverse talent pipeline and inclusive culture
  • Align and leverage the collective resources of the Global People function (People Solutions partners, HR Operations support, and HR systems) to deliver on strategic people plans
  • Supporting HR Governance & Internal Controls team to manage HR compliance across regions including support on risk management, audit obligations & other relevant regulatory compliance as it relates to HR.
  • Liaise between the enterprise and People Solutions for programming and policies that target specific people-centric outcomes; support implementation of GP programs and transformations and proactively leverage expertise to coach functional leaders through change.
  • Function as a liaison aligning efforts of functional partners with other corporate departments
  • Serve as an aggregator, ensuring workforce strategies, talent management, and org effectiveness efforts are adequately and efficiently oriented to business needs; support function PPs in prioritizing efforts and solving resourcing issues.
  • Provide change management, training and development as needed on HR policies, practices and initiative deployments. Coordinate with People Solutions on HR initiatives and changes affecting the functions
  • Craft client-ready communications, presentations and data reports
  • Manage special projects across the HR team, engaging partners and managing communication plans
  • Support a culture of inclusion and engagement within the team and the Teams they support
Who were looking for:
  • 10+ years minimum combined experience in roles similar to HR Generalist/Talent Management/Organizational Effectiveness/HR Business Partner. Experience in HR Business Partner type role preferred
  • Experience in leading cross-functional team of SMEs to execute People strategies required
  • Bachelor's degree in HR or related field with an advanced degree preferred
  • Experience with supporting a globally dispersed workforce
  • Comfort working with and presenting to executives
  • Experience with employee relations and legal investigations in the US is helpful
  • Ability to use disparate workforce datasets to help design and drive adoption of people programs
  • Exceptional communication style with an ability to adapt approach to meet needs of audience
  • Demonstrated ability to create relationships and influence partners
  • Adept at forging a collaborative approach and aligning team members/resources to achieve outcomes
  • Experience with developing and delivering group presentation. Comfort with Word, PowerPoint and collaborative technologies; high Excel proficiency is required
