The Inspire Brands Hyderabad Support Center will focus on developing new capabilities in data science, data analytics, eCommerce, automation, cloud computing, and information security to accelerate the companys business strategy. Inspire Brands Hyderabad Support Center will also host an innovation lab and collaborate with start-ups to develop solutions for productivity optimization, workforce management, loyalty management, payments systems, and more.Position Overview:As Inspire Brands embarks on an exciting journey, we are searching for an experienced and visionary Director of Data Engineering to lead our Enterprise Data team in building and maintaining robust data engineering solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data architecture, engineering, and management, with expertise in cloud platforms like Azure and data warehousing technologies such as Snowflake.This leadership position will drive the building/modernization of our technology program, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives while mitigating risks effectively.Key Responsibilities:Leadership and Strategy:

• Provide strategic direction and leadership for the Enterprise Data Engineering team.
• Develop and communicate a clear vision for data engineering initiatives aligned with business objectives
• Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable and efficient data engineering solution.
• Manage and mentor a team of data engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
• Recruit, onboard, and retain top talent to ensure the team's continued growth and success.

Technology Management:Data Architecture and Design:

• Define and maintain the overall data architecture strategy, ensuring alignment with business requirements and industry best practices.
• Design and implement data models, pipelines, and workflows to support data ingestion, transformation, storage, and retrieval
• Architect data solutions on Azure, leveraging services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Synapse Analytics

Data Platform Management:

• Manage and optimize data platforms, including cloud-based data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake) and data lakes.
• Ensure the availability, reliability, and security of data infrastructure and systems.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting mechanisms to proactively identify and address performance and security issues.

Data Governance and Compliance:

• Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality, integrity, and privacy.
• Collaborate with compliance and security teams to implement and maintain regulatory and industry-specific data standards.
• Monitor and audit data usage and access to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

Cross-Functional Collaborations

• Collaborate with Technology leadership to identify improvement opportunities, platform stability and quality.
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies and tools to support development efforts.
• Drive innovation and explore opportunities to leverage emerging technologies to enhance our products and services
• Implement best practices and processes to ensure efficient project execution and delivery of high-quality solutions.
• Proactively identify and mitigate risks to project success, and effectively communicate with stakeholders

Education and Experience Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Minimum of 18 years of professional experience in leadership or similar role.
• Proven track record of team building and talent development in a dynamic environment.
• Experience in large, multibrand, global organizations, preferably in the restaurant/retail industry, building multitenant systems is preferred.
• Experience in managing budget, resource demand forecasting

Required Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities:

• Deep understanding of cloud technologies, particularly Azure, with hands-on experience in architecting and deploying cloud-based solutions
• Experience with data warehousing platforms, such as Snowflake, including design, optimization, and administration
• Experience in managing and optimizing data platforms, including cloud-based data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake) and data lakes.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms, particularly Azure, with hands-on experience in designing and implementing data solutions on Azure.
• Expertise in data warehousing technologies, including Snowflake, with a deep understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration patterns.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail and customer focus.
• Excellent presentation and training abilities, with the capability to engage audiences and deliver actionable insights.
• Superior business acumen and relationship building skills, with the ability to influence and advise senior leadership.
