What you will do:
As the Director of Engineering at GEP, you will lead the product engineering efforts, delivering innovative, scalable, and high-quality solutions for procurement and sourcing professionals. This is a senior leadership role requiring strategic vision, technical expertise, and team management skills to drive the evolution of our S2C platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, UX, Data Science, and QA, to ensure the successful delivery of impactful solutions aligned with GEP's mission to transform supply chain and procurement processes. Key Responsibilities: • Strategic Leadership:
• + Develop and drive the technical roadmap for the product line, ensuring alignment with business goals and market trends.
+ Define and execute on strategies to enhance scalability, performance, security, and user experience of the platform.
• Team Management:
• + Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers, managers, and technical leads.
+ Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence.
• Technical Ownership:
• + Oversee the design, architecture, and development of the platform, ensuring it meets the highest standards of quality and innovation.
+ Champion the adoption of best practices in software engineering, including CI/CD, Agile methodologies, and test-driven development.
• Collaboration:
• + Work closely with Product Management to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
+ Partner with UX teams to deliver user-centric designs.
+ Collaborate with the AI/ML teams to integrate advanced analytics and decision-making capabilities into the platform.
• Delivery Excellence:
• + Establish and monitor engineering metrics to ensure quality, velocity, and efficiency of the development process.
+ Ensure timely delivery of projects within budget and scope, balancing short-term deliverables with long-term goals.
• Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
• + Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscapes to ensure the platform remains a leader in the market.
+ Drive continuous improvement initiatives across engineering processes, tools, and systems.
What you should bring:
• Education:
• + Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience:
• + 15+ years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing engineering teams.
+ Proven track record in building and scaling enterprise-grade SaaS products, preferably in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain domains.
• Technical Expertise:
• + Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), microservices architecture, and modern software engineering practices.
+ Experience in technologies ASP.Net, C#, WCF/Web API, MVC Framework, Java Script, JQuery
+ Familiarity with Source-to-Contract processes and tools is a strong plus.
+ AI experience is preferred.

+ Strong decision-making skills with a balance of technical and business acumen.
+ Proven or intense exposure experience in building high-performance teams and have exposure to scalable best engineering practices based on Agile methods.
