Job Title: Cost Consultancy Director Reports To: India PJM Lead & Global Commercial Lead Summary: Our Esteemed client is looking for an experienced cost/commercial manager to lead the commercial management function for the India region. The successful candidate needs to demonstrate experience of having advised a client in both tactical and strategic operations in Commercial fit out projects management, showing the ability to go deep into project-level challenges, but also understand the big picture and how the application of commercial management will guide the client to meet its corporate real estate objectives. Responsibilities: . Develop and implement cost control measures that meet the client\'s project controls standards & cost management standards . Ensure project managers, coordinators and other 3rd party vendors providing services to the client adhere to the require cost management standards . Develop ad hoc cost analysis as required (e.g. this could be where design standards or specifications are proposed to be altered, or a new product is being evaluated) . Tactically support local projects when issues arise (strategic oversight, course correction, advising on recommended procurement routes, etc) As required this may involve dedicating significant time and effort on specific major projects. . Support various Product Areas with standing up cost control or budgeting processes (often starting from scratch) . Develop cost and schedule metrics that enable the PMO (Program Management Office) to provide continual risk mitigation (contingency reporting, etc) . Monitor and control project costs through portfolio-level reporting (own the Monthly Commercial Review process for India) . Support the regional cost teams with technical and strategic advice . Prepare and present ad hoc cost reports to management . Continually identify and recommend cost-saving measures . Lead the Account\'s capital planning cycle in India (both annually and as a rolling capital plan) which includes ensuring in-flight projects and new project requests are collected and accurately forecasted in order to provide a multi-year portfolio for the client. . Develop detailed cost benchmarking and market reports to continually compare the client\'s cost to industry . Provide industry best practices to continually improve the management of costs on projects in India . Liaise with and leverage CBRE\'s Cost Consultancy practice in India to continually bring best practices from other accounts to the client\'s. . Other duties as assigned Qualifications: . Bachelor\'s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field . 15+ years of experience in cost estimating, budgeting, etc . Strong understanding of construction costs and estimating methods . Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles and ability to provide expert advice to clients . Experience with project management software . Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills (ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex challenges) . Strong written and verbal communication skills . Ability to work independently and as part of a team . Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines . To be viewed by CBRE and the client as the \'Subject Matter Expert\' on cost-related topics in India Professional Accreditation: RICS (Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors) or CIOB (Chartered Institute of Building) accreditation preferred.
