Epsilon is seeking a highly experienced and strategically minded Director to lead the implementation and administration of the compensation and benefits programs in our India office. You will be expected to formulate benefits strategy, implement compensation plans and ensure that Epsilon is an employer of choice.


As the Director of Compensation and benefits in India, you play a crucial role in strategically aligning local compensation initiatives with the overarching global frameworks. You enhance our market competitiveness through comprehensive market analyses and benchmarking, ensuring our compensation packages are aligned with the industry and remain competitive.


Your expertise guarantees compliance with Indian labor laws, while you adeptly manage salary structures and oversee compensation planning and budgeting. By implementing performance-based compensation programs, you directly contribute to enhancing organizational performance. You are also a key communicator ensuring transparent dissemination of policies to global compensation team, to key stakeholders and to employees. Collaborating closely with global team, HR Partners, TA partners and Business leaders you address and resolve compensation-related issues, providing critical insights through data. Furthermore, your leadership in strategic projects, partnership with global team in compensation systems implementation or processes ensures our global practices are inclusive and also drive the company's long-term success.


You will take on a senior leadership role and should be comfortable with matrix reporting. You will report to India HR head with a dotted line to the Head of Global Total Rewards. You will need to partner closely with the Global Compensation and Benefits Team.


Key responsibilities:

• Lead the overall strategy and administration of total rewards programs, including base pay, variable pay, benefits and recognition for Epsilon India in alignment with the overall global compensation framework
• Develop and execute a comprehensive compensation strategy that aligns with the company's business objectives, competitive positioning, and industry trends
• Conduct regular market analysis and benchmarking to ensure Epsilon India total rewards offerings remain competitive and attractive to current and prospective employees
• Design and oversee employee benefits programs to ensure competitiveness. Ensure legal compliance and effectively communicate benefits information to employees
• Manage benefits vendorpartnership and audit process
• Work with global leaders in HR, Compensation, and the business to validate, and recommend new innovative approaches to compensation
• Provide support to other members of the compensation team, regarding annual salary review/merit process, variable compensation/commission plans, equity, and other compensation programs
• Maintain a compensation structure and classifications system, define job levels and families, compile market data and establish pay parameters
• Complete special studies and recommendations on subjects such as incentive compensation, bonus plans or company pay equity
• Partner with HR Business Partners, Finance, HRIS and business owners to implement processes, systems and tools to improve compensation administration, communication and analysis
• Help design and facilitate training to educate managers on compensation strategies, practices, and assist in educating on compensation related legal and compliance issues.
• Ensure that all compensation practices comply with local Indian labor laws and regulations, as well as international standards.
• Provide regular analysis on compensation trends, effectiveness and cost implications to key stakeholders
• Support communications and change management efforts of Compensation/HR. Effectively communicate compensation policies and changes to employees in India, ensuring clarity and transparency.
• Support performance management processes, including the design and implementation of performance-based compensation programs that align with both local and global business objectives.
• Ensure proper documentation and audit processes are developed, approved and followed.
• Manage and oversee large scale initiatives involving cross-functional teams. Participate in or lead strategic compensation projects that may have a global impact, such as mergers and acquisitions, organizational restructuring, or the implementation of new compensation technologies and systems.
• Manage, coach and supervise a team of 1-2 associates and their work



Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in compensation
• Prior experience in mid-size to large technology corporation (over 2000 associates) is preferred
• Experience leading compensation programs and conducting high-level presentations required
• Bachelor's degree in human resources, business or related field preferred
• A consultative approach with our business partners is preferred
• Certified Compensation Professional certification is a plus
• Knowledge and experience with labor laws and regulations as it relates to compensation
• Must have intense attention to detail and quality
• Able to communicate effectively with internal and external customers of all levels, including executives
