We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Director \xe2\x80\x93 Chief Operating Officer, MSS, Front Office The MSS ( Markets Securities & Services ) Front Office Leadership team are responsible for Leadership and management of the front office and associated support areas; covering F2B staff that work for and are aligned to the front office for the Markets and Securities Services business (excl. Operations) We are looking for a candidate to lead and manage the COO ( Chief Operating Officer ) functions in Bangalore Principal responsibilities The role is responsible for
  • Ensuring the efficient running of the relevant front office activities within role remit
  • Delivering first class service and outcomes to our client base, via pro-active handling of organisation and commercial demands
  • Defining future business capabilities and strategy with the business head as appropriate
  • Driving the execution of the relevant business strategy and Transformation
  • Owning efficient allocation of business resources and effectively managing the cost/FTE within role remit
  • In partnership with embedded control officers, managing the risk and control environment via a robust governance, ensuring all risks are understood, reported and managed within risk appetite
  • Representing the team in regional and global governance forums where appropriate
  • Active participation in the relevant people agenda, creating a strong team with clear development for all staff and succession plans for critical roles
  • Experience of senior (MD and D) stakeholder engagement on an international basis

  • Well defined execution strategy and implementation plan for strategic and business development initiatives where applicable
  • Strong alignment and collaboration between all functions that make up the business flow
  • Effective structure and processes to support the effective running of the relevant teams in role scope
  • Clear monitoring and reporting of costs. Costs and headcount managed within budget scope for role
  • A well understood and clearly defined risk and control framework

Requirements
What you will need to succeed in the role: TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES
  • Ability to navigate the regulatory landscape
  • Understands business risks, client base and geopolitical environment
  • Financial and accounting acumen
  • Exhibits robust judgement, decision making and is resilient to change
  • Excellent problem solving capability, sense of urgency with good time management skills and able to operate with ambiguity
  • Organised with a systematic approach to programme execution, experience of (major) business transformation
  • Ability to identify, manage, and mitigate risk effectively
EXPERIENCE
  • Proven track record of implementing change programmes of scale/size required for role
  • Confirmed ability to articulate complex issues concisely and clearly
  • Markets and Securities Services business/product knowledge
  • Confirmed ability in managing and coordinating teams
  • Individuals with previous experience in either a COO or Business Management would be preferred
  • Experience in workflow monitoring (e.g. tracking & communication of issues)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, coupled with the ability to maintain global team relationships
  • Advanced level of MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
