An ideal candidate will possess following: Minimum 5 years of experience in category management Responsible for maximizing the sales and profit of the categories and achieving sales budgets while remaining competitive in the marketplace. Management of topline and bottom line (P&L), product returns and inventory mix Plan website layout and taxonomy to improve the customer shopping experience Monitoring product lifecycle of every product in the category and take early calls for opportunity maximization Drives Business growth, and Market Share of the Specific Category with a strong bend towards product, competition & consumer analytics. Planning and developing the product range and finalizing the pricing strategy for products Search for insights into consumer needs and wants Make changes to the product line to increase profit margin/take rate Highly developed skills for problem solving and strategic thinking Strategize positioning of a product category to maximize its visibility and knows how to convert leads by bringing traffic. Handling end to end category management, owning and managing P&L responsibility Prior experience in competitive analysis and pricing is preferred Prior experience in E-Commerce & Internet industry preferred Prior experience in category, working closely with marketing and merchandising preferred Someone with experience in automobile industry/consumer internet preferred Ability to collaborate across departments This role requires working directly with senior management team
