The Factory Digitization Project Sales Engineer is responsible for driving sales of digitization projects, managing client interactions, and ensuring technical requirements are met during project execution. This role combines both sales acumen and engineering knowledge to deliver high-quality solutions that meet customer needs.


Key Responsibilities:




Customer Engagement:

Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements and provide technical support.

Product Demonstrations:

Present and explain digitization products and solutions to potential clients.

Sales Strategy Development:

Assist in developing sales strategies and business plans. Technical Support: Provide technical advice and support to customers, both pre and post-sales.

Market Research:

Stay updated with the latest digitization technologies, trends, and market demands.

Customer Relationship Management:

Maintain records of customer communication and sales activities.

Problem Solving:

Help clients solve issues with installed equipment and recommend improvements.

Product Customization:

Coordinate with the technical team to ensure product customization according to client needs.

Training:

Coordinate and deliver technical training to clients and sales teams.

SCADA Platform

: Possess in-depth knowledge of industry-leading SCADA platforms such as Siemens WinCC, Wonderware (AVEVA), GE iFIX, and Rockwell Automation FactoryTalk.

OPC Platform

: Possess in-depth knowledge of industry-leading OPC platforms such as Kepware, Matrikon OPC, Softing OPC, and Prosys OPC.

Sector Knowledge:

Should have executed digitization projects in some of the following verticals

1. Pharma


2. Automotive


3. Process Industries

4. FMCG


Required Skills:




Technical Knowledge:

Strong understanding of digitization technologies, including hardware and software solutions.

Communication Skills:

Ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Sales Skills:

Proficiency in sales techniques and customer relationship management.

Problem-Solving Skills:

Ability to troubleshoot and provide effective solutions to customer issues.

Market Awareness:

Knowledge of industry trends and competitor products.

Qualifications:




Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Experience in sales, technical support, or a similar role. Strong understanding of digitization technologies and applications. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to work collaboratively with both technical and non-technical teams.
