We are focused to achieve seamless integration of people, processes, and technology to drive business success, promote collaboration, and enrich community life.The RNet Digital Practice Lead works in conjunction with the BL Leadership, Discipline Leads and other management team members, Functional Service Teams (FSTs) such as IT, Digital Services, PTSG, Legal, and other teams across Stantec to manage and evolve the technology and processes associated with design, delivery and execution of our work.The RNet Digital Practice Lead supports requirements for software, digital tools, and digital expertise - executing and evolving the business objective to be technology forward in our design and delivery. The initial focus of the RNet Digital Practice Lead will be to work with BL Leadership and Disciplines to develop a strategic and tactical plan for the Digital Future while optimizing technology initiatives within various business lines to implement that plan. The RNet Digital Practice Lead will evaluate existing systems teams within the BOU and establish appropriate go-forward strategies and controls to efficiently execute these systems for internal execution while maximizing cross-company collaboration and sharing.This position should be located in Pune Stantec office in India.Your OpportunityJob Scope
  • Develop strategic, tactical, and transformational plans to create efficiency in the delivery of our consulting and design work in the global marketplace.
  • Develop and support the budgeting process, establish KPIs and return on investments of the plans initiatives for Digital Practice team.
  • Work with the Discipline Leadership team and other management team members in Digital Practice Leadership to identify the digital and technology priorities for internal staff and project teams
  • Collaborate on planning to ensure that technology discussions and initiatives are aligned within the BOU and Digital Future plan and coordinate with Business Lines, IT and Digital Innovation, the other Digital Practice Leads and Innovation Leads for Water, buildings, E & R, Environmental services and community development on best practices and opportunities.
  • Identify and develop leads from the Regions within Stantec to ensure alignment and communication of RNet Digital Practice initiatives to all staff.
  • Ensure IT and Digital Innovation teams are collaborated with and engaged appropriately to maximize their teams engagement within the Pune Digital Practice, while adhering to and enforcing company standards for technology implementation and IT requirements for security.
  • Provide supervision, training, mentoring of digital practice team members in the RNet Digital Practice team.
  • Work within a team environment to create innovative project delivery tools, activities, processes and workflows that increase efficiency and improve quality in alignment with the Digital Future plan.
  • Promote standardization of processes throughout project delivery in alignment with the Digital Future plan.
  • Core focus to provide consistency of product and process in support of Engineering design delivery excellence.
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities
  • Works with IT and Digital Innovation to orchestrate and manage both software and hardware; purchase, implementation, release, and rollout of BIM/CAD products, as well as other Business owned software and hardware in areas such as visualization, computation, and analytics. This will include Stantec developed solutions for Project Delivery including Stantec.io, etc.
  • Works with BL Delivery, IT, and Digital Innovation to develop training and messaging in support of managed design, drafting, and modeling software for Enterprise software included in CAD Allocation, and in support of Stantec developed solutions for project delivery.
  • Proactively work with project teams to identify and implement best practice software and technology solutions that are appropriate for each project.
  • Plans and implements additions, deletions, and major modifications to supporting infrastructure (specifically regarding BIM and CAD technologies); ProjectWise, BIM 360, Revit Server, etc.
  • Stay informed on best practices for IT collaboration, CAD/BIM and Engineering software, as well as all hardware relative to innovative project delivery.
  • Stay informed of changes in the marketplace to software, hardware, technology, and competitor updates in this field. Constantly review key competitors (and other industries) similar initiatives
  • Oversee automation and customization of BIM/CAD productivity software and associated content: templates, families, block libraries, etc. for quality control and consistency.
  • Create written technology evaluations and budgets for future technology adoption that aligns with corporate and BL goals. Manage implementation of approved projects within budget.
  • Participates in all programs relating to performance evaluations and career development planning for RNet Digital Practice Team members.
  • Report on the companys current IT, Technology hardware and software state with regards to implementation, productivity, etc.
  • Support Business Line development and regular training by Digital Practice Members of all Digital Technology and BIM/CAD related products/process used.
  • Provide annual goals and quality reviews of RNet Digital Practice team members or support groups and BIM/CAD professionals to improve the quality of the team.
  • Active involvement in the greater Digital/BIM/CAD community
  • Support project sta Ensure high team morale by regularly connecting with team, providing appreciation and recognition, and carrying out team building activities from time to time.
  • Willingness to work late evening or early morning hours to enable collaboration with global counterparts.
  • Complete all work in line with Stantec core values and in accordance with the Stantec quality systems and procedures.

  • Oversee administration of best practice, software, and hardware support as it relates to RNet Digital Practice.
  • Closely collaborate and communicate with digital practice teams from other Business Lines and the Innovation Office on shared initiatives and lessons learned.
Experience, Education, and Certification:
  • Bachelors\' degree, preferably in Engineering or Information Technology, plus minimum 15 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with successful implementation of business-critical enterprise-wide projects of strategic significance.
  • Experience creating, setting and managing capital and operating budgets.
  • Technical certifications relevant to the position.
  • Experience with Lean, Agile and ITIL a plus.
  • Knowledge of the unique technology needs of the Design consulting and engineering practice
  • Knowledge of application development, quality assurance, computer-aided drafting, BIM, technical and engineering applications specific to the A/E industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to hire, inspire, manage, and develop staff members.
  • Ability to think strategically and act tactically.
  • Deep understanding of technology project management and ability to lead and deliver on complex projects of strategic significance.
  • Understanding of technology-related disaster planning and business continuity requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to independently manage multiple priorities.
