The Die Cutting Machine Operator in a flexographic printing environment is responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of die-cutting machines.

Role & responsibilities

• Set up and adjust die-cutting machines for various types of printed materials, ensuring accurate alignment and cutting.
• Ensure the correct use of dies, cutting plates, and other accessories according to job specifications.
• Operate die-cutting machines to cut, score, crease, and trim printed materials, ensuring they meet quality standards.
• Monitor the output for defects such as miscuts, misalignments, or damaged materials.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with the die-cutting process to maintain production quality.
• Perform routine maintenance on die-cutting machines to ensure optimal performance and longevity (cleaning, lubrication, etc.).
• Diagnose and repair basic mechanical issues or escalate more complex problems to maintenance technicians.
• Replace worn-out or damaged cutting dies and blades as needed
• Communicate with supervisors regarding any issues or delays that might affect production timelines.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and practices to prevent accidents and injuries while operating heavy machinery.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
