Outgoing Logistics both Road as well as Sea as per Marketing Dept requirement.
Incoming Logistics as per company\xe2\x80\x99s requirement.
interplant Logistics.
Logistics Management in a cost effective manner.
Within plant material handling does not fall in his scope.
Key Responsibilities
To create Logistics department Work Instructions and Processes for smooth functioning.
To track and manage logistics performance indicators- including quality and delivery of services of chosen providers. To resolve service issues with global Logistics.
To take active steps to review, enhance and redesign specific work practices where required to further improve the efficacy of the service.
To develop logistics budgets and operational plans - by understanding the routes and time required for delivery.
To audit and process freight invoices in a timely manner to ensure they are available for payment prior to contractual due date.
To understand the compliance needs for importing / exporting of items
Budget and understand the duties/ taxes to be paid on road.
To mentor and provide the development support to the Logistics Supervisors and members of the Logistics team to ensure the team meets and exceed expectations.
To apply lean and continuous improvement techniques and constantly review processes within the department, stream lining where possible, to continuously improve operational efficiency and service to the organisation. .
To identify all logistics related training requirements for logistics personnel within the company. And facilitate training opportunities especially for personnel requiring to handle dangerous goods.
Inbound Logistics
Responsible for arranging Trailers, Trucks, Rakes for incoming materials as per requirements raised by SCM deptt.
Responsible for planning of materials movement from different vendors to all factories.
Reduction in cost of freight & other expenses during inbound logistics.
Monitor the movement of materials from point of dispatch both in quantity, time, route to ensure it reaches the destination with the budgeted landed cost and scheduled time.
Ensure no production loss on account of logistics.
Ensure planning of materials unload/yard in coordination with plant.
Preparing Daily dashboard of Materials movement and updating plants on Hourly/Daily basis on the incoming materials.
To track the materials loading/dispatch from Vendor place and communicating the same to plants.
To communicate / influence the Vendors for priority loading and dispatch.
To liase with Railway officials, Fleet Vendors for smooth coordination.
Outbound Logistics
Responsible for planning & coordination with internal customers for outbound dispatch.
Responsible for coordination with CHF for sea logistics activities.
Responsible for arranging vehicles for finished goods.
Responsible for maintaining all documents as per the statutory requirements for loading.
Ensure commercial aspects are considered in the company\xe2\x80\x99s interest.
Ensure safety of the personnel in the company premises.

Profile
Graduate / post graduate from reputed university
Minimum 10- 12 years of logistics experience in medium / large engineering Company.
Willing to travel and has flexible approach to work.
