Job Summary:



The Deputy General Manager (DGM) - Production is responsible for overseeing and managing the production processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. This role involves coordinating with various departments, implementing process improvements, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and driving production targets while maintaining safety and sustainability measures.

Key Responsibilities:



Production Management:



Plan, organize, and oversee the daily production activities to meet targets and deadlines.

Ensure optimum utilization of resources, manpower, and equipment.

Monitor production KPIs and implement corrective actions when necessary.

Develop and implement strategies for improving production efficiency and reducing costs.

Quality Assurance & Compliance:



Ensure that all production activities comply with company standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices.

Work closely with the Quality Control (QC) team to maintain high-quality standards.

Lead efforts to achieve certifications and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Process Improvement & Cost Optimization:



Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc.).

Reduce wastage, improve yield, and enhance overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).

Optimize energy and material consumption to achieve cost savings.

Team Leadership & Development:



Lead and mentor production teams, ensuring their skill development and motivation.

Conduct regular training sessions for employees on safety, quality, and process improvements.

Foster a culture of teamwork, innovation, and accountability.

Coordination & Reporting:



Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Supply Chain, Maintenance, Quality, and R&D.

Ensure smooth coordination between different production units for seamless operations.

Prepare reports and present production performance to senior management.
